Meschede - Stimmstamm & Lörmecke-Tower

Hiking in Meschede (Sauerland)

Circular hike from the Stimmstamm to the Lörmecke tower, towards Eversberg and back to the point of departure of the Stimmstamm.

The Plackweg leads you from the parking lot to the 35-meter-high Lörmecke tower. The observation tower, which can even be seen from the A46 motorway, is a must for everyone with a head for heights on this tour! The 204 steps (according to Wikipedia, I did not count) lead to a very worthwhile 360 ° view of the Arnsberger Forest nature park.

Those who have not passed out afterwards can continue the tour and find a variety of different types of mushrooms off the path.

Directions

From the Stimmstamm parking lot it goes in the direction of Lörmecke-Turm (this way is well signposted). Once there, go down a path on the right. Here you walk a few meters until you come to an intersection. It continues to the right of the Plackweg . After a few hundred meters you will come to a fork and keep to the right. Now it goes a long way straight until you come to the river Wallmecke. You should now be on an asphalt course. Then you go straight for a few meters and turn right onto a somewhat steeper gravel path. Follow this until you come to a fork where you keep left. You follow the current route a few kilometers. At the end of the path you come to an intersection, here you go to the right of the four paths. After approximately 100 meters you will come to a fork again, keep right here. At the end of the route, the way back to the parking lot awaits you.
