Crossing the Mały Kościelec
Mountain tour in Zakopane (High Tatras)
On this mountain tour you will not only climb the summit of the Mały Kościelec (small polish chapel) but also cross many highlights of the High Tatras.
Rustic alpine pastures, crystal-clear glacier lakes or scenic panoramas characterize this tour. In addition, there are many opportunities to rest or to fill up the water supplies on the way.

The trails are very well signposted in the High Tatras.
The path leads from Zakopane to Murowaniec, through the valley Dolina Suchej Wody Gąsienicowej (sea alpine pasture dry lake) to the Czarny Staw Gąsienicowy (polish black lake) up to Mały Kościelec (small polish chapel).
Return via Karb (Kerbsaddle), descent to Czerwone Stawki Gąsienicowe (lower and upper polish lakes) and ascent to Świnicka Przełęcz (sea alpine pasture saddle). Over the ridge path of the Polish-Slovakian border it finally goes to the mountain station of the Kasprowy Wierch. From here, you can descend by cable car or descend on foot.
Equipment and safety instructions
Getting started early is mandatory here, otherwise the crowds will spoil your fun. Also sturdy shoes, sunscreen and appropriate clothing!
